Standard Cabins: El Tucán and Calandria

These two-story cabins are identical in distribution: upstairs it has the main room with a Queen Size bed, bathroom and a balcony, downstairs it has an individual bed and a fully equipped kitchen. These cabins are perfect for honeymooners. Each one can sleep up to three people.

Family Cabin El Mono

This is a two-story cabin: upstairs has a big bedroom with two double beds, bathroom and a balcony, and downstairs it has one double bed, one bunk - bed and a fully- equipped kitchen.

This cabin can sleep up to eight people.

Family Cabin El Bobo

This is the biggest cabin we offer; its a one-story cabin with two separate rooms, each one with one double, one Queen and one twin size bed with private bathroom. The cabin also has a fully –equipped kitchen and its perfect for large families, even for two families traveling together who wish to be in the same place.

It can sleep up to teen people.

The standard cabins El Tucan, Calandria and family cabin El Mono have a wonderful view from their balconies, looking toward the gardens and mountains that surround them. Family cabin El Bobo doesn't have a balcony, but it’s surrounded of an exuberant vegetation and an atmosphere of privacy.

Services

Cabins with fully equipped kitchens: Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen that comes with microwave, coffee maker, fridge, gas stove and cooking utensils. This makes it ideal for those people who prefer to cook or simply wish to save a little money in feeding during their stay in Monteverde.

Breakfast

We serve a complete breakfast at a very reasonable price. Most of the products that we use to prepare our breakfast are harvest in our property, such as: Beans, bananas, plantain and product that we produce from sugar cane like brown sugar “Tapa de Dulce” and syrup among others. We serve breakfast at the main house or take it to the comfort of your room to enjoy it in the kitchen of the cabin or in the garden, depending on weather conditions. We are confident that after our breakfast you will be ready for an adventurous day in Monteverde.

We can organize for you different forms of transport.

Private Transportation

Is the most convenient and fastest way to travel through Costa Rica. This type of transport offers the visitor very flexible departure times where you can choose where and at what time you would like to leave. It is the best option for people who want to reach their destination faster without waiting hours for other transportation, which only comes at certain times. It is also the best option for visitors who arrive late to the airport and want to be transported to their destination in Costa Rica.

Private transport has many advantages such as: you can make any stops during the tour to stretch your legs, go to the bathroom, eat or just take pictures of anything interesting you may see on the way. This transportation would be totally private for you.

When it comes to airports, transport gets to the terminal where the driver would be carrying a sign with your name, so it will be very easy to identify him. Then the driver will take you fast and comfortable to your final destination.

We offer you two types of transport:

• Our very own comfortable Toyota Prado 2010 Taxi. This cab can comfortably carry 1 to 4 people and luggage. The taxi is also available in the hotel for your transfers within the area of Monteverde.

• For 5 people or more we will organize a comfortable van / mini bus. Most vans have a maximum capacity of 10 people, but there are available vans with capacity for more people.

Shuttle Transportation.

In Costa Rica is the cheapest way to travel. This transport offers visitors comfortable and comfortable vans or minibuses with air conditioning and enough space for your convenience. Departure times vary according to each destination, a route can be established and a departure in the morning and one afternoon.

Normally it makes one 15 min stop during the ride to take a break, stretch your legs, drink or to change vehicles. In most cases the routes are connected and need to change vehicles to get to the final destination.

This transportation will pick you up at your hotel door and take you to your destination.

Taxi-Boat-Taxi.

We also arrange transport to and from Fortuna to Monteverde. This transportation is called Taxi, Boat, taxi. This service is offered between the destinations of Arenal and Monteverde. It includes a 45 minute boat ride across Lake Arenal. Taking this transport you will save up to 2 hours of time and if you want to drive or take public transportation, you have to go around Lake Arenal by the Tilarán route, so it will take more than 4 hours to make the journey to Monteverde.

Transportation Taxi, Boat, Taxi from Arenal to Monteverde   or Monteverde to Arenal will meet you at your hotel and take you to where you take a boat across Lake Arenal, this tour takes about 30 minutes. Once in Lake Arenal you will travel for 45 minutes to get to Rio Chiquito, a small town that borders Lake Arenal, a bus will be waiting to take you to Monteverde through a colorful and beautiful landscapes of cloud forest, this part of journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. The van will finally leave you outside your hotel.
