Valle Campanas operates horseback tours for groups and individuals. We work with many student groups who always have a lot of fun on our horses! We organize horse rides in Monteverde of an hour or two as well as multiple day horseback rides around Costa Rica. Desafio is happy to tailor-make any sort of equestrian tour you might be interested in. English-speaking guides accompany the larger tours and we are flexible with departure times and tour structures.

All the rides talked about below are suitable for first time riders. We also have many options for people with more experience as well.

Sometimes people ask us about riding in the one of the Reserves. This is not possible as these are protected places where a horse would have a negative impact. We can offer rides on trails that consist of secondary forest and pasture with great views of the Pacific Ocean.
